News Supervisor/Sports Anchor

Andy Lacombe is the Sports Supervisor at Charter TV3. He started working at Charter TV3 (formerly WGMC-TV3) in December of 2000 as an Assignment Desk Editor and Health/Sciences Reporter. Andy has filled the roles of News Producer, News Anchor, Show Host, and General Assignment Reporter. He co-hosts the Friday Night Football Frenzy and also serves as the play-by-play/color analyst for TV3’s broadcasts of Holy Cross football, and the High School Football Game of the Week. He has won multiple NECTA Public Service Awards along with three Telly Awards.

Andy has most recently been awarded a Telly Award for his work on Edwin Rodriguez: The Making of a Champion and a First Place NECTA Award for his work on the Friday Night Football Frenzy. Andy was a two sport captain at Auburn High School. Andy earned Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Providence College and later a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University. He previously worked as fill-in sports anchor as New England Cable News in Boston, a correspondent for One-on-One Sports radio covering Syracuse Orange Football, as well as a political reporter covering the 2000 New Hampshire Primary for WGHT radio in northern New Jersey.
